Methadius Marucha was asleep at his parents house when he was abducted. kisii police commander Francis Kooli has come out to pacify the public's fury at kisii offices explaining that they are working on several leads to establish the baby's whereabouts.
Methadius Marucha a one year old was sleeping in his parent's house when he was stolen by an unknown individual. It’s now three weeks since his disappearance, a period that has given his parents Geoffrey Okongo and Orpha Moraa unexplainable grief. The couple has faulted officers from Itumbe Police station for rereleasing a woman who was brought into the police station with a baby that was crying loudly. The parents have been having sleepless nights due to the appearance of their son. He was stolen from Itumbe village, nyamache sub-county, Kisii County.
The woman suspected to have stolen the baby got into kisii town after boarding a Matatu at Magena on the day he went missing. According to Okongo,the passengers doubted whether the woman was the baby’s mother thus asking the driver to drop her at Itumbe Police station where she was left for questioning.The police station doesn’t offer much plight into situation as the woman is said to have been released after being questioned by the authority.
Moraa revealed that she was atonished after coming from the shop to fetch groceries.She reported the issue to Itumbe police station and the police handled the case urguing that they had a chance of confirming his real mother but failed to.
