BODABODA RIDERS TO BE PART OF THE TEAM ENSURING PEACE DURING THE 2022 ELECTION.
CS MATIANGI

CS Matiangi who was addressing the 64th General Assembly of the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) in Limuru said to the congragants that theres should be an assurance of peaceful coexistence among Kenyans after and before the general elections. This came after the terror suspects were caught in Mombasa and the hunt for the cattle rustlers continue in the raided region.
Bodaboda youths are set to be civic educated by the relevant authorities so as to be able to maintain peace and not be part of the team causing the chaos. Bodaboda riders have always been criticised as the perpetuates of violence by blocking roads and even looting when an election does occur and the results are out. Since many youths are unemployed the bodaboda seems like the availed oppurtunity in the society thus it seems easy for them to be influenced by a politician. The CS added that“We want to have an election that has zero displacements. We want the real will of the voters to be reflected in election results.”
Durring the event present The CS was with CASs Mercy Mwangangi (Health), David Osiany (Trade) and Zack Kinuthia (Sports).
