Is working out in an empty stomach safe?
Many people can’t afford or rather lack time to eat or take breakfast before doing their morning or evening workout routine.
Although there are proofs supporting it, it doesn’t mean it’s safe for just anyone.
It is advised that by doing this, which is commonly known as a fasting state, the body utilizes the accumulating fat to generate energy which is used during the workout period..this keeps the calories low and hence speeds up weight loss.
Some people though manage through the workout time while others claim to feel sluggish or lightheaded if they exercise on an empty stomach. These people are advised to take some carbohydrates an hour before d so exercising. This will allow one to work out for a long time or higher intensity.
However, body fasting also has its own advantages. It helps burn fats faster since it’s just converted to energy. It also boosts one’s body's response to insulin i.e its sensitivity and increased level of growth hormone. It Also improves performance depending on the type of exercise.
And so what are some of the recommended foods before working out? Eating peanuts, milk, grain cereal, a banana, yogurt and a lot of carbohydrates increase energy production for the exercise.
One should just pay attention to their bodies and do what feels good for them or what they’re comfortable doing. The secret is just staying dehydrated, having a healthy diet, and maintaining s lifestyle that aligns with one’s health interests.
