KENGEN GAINS AN UPWARD REVENUE OF Kshs 2.6 BILLION OVER THE PAST NINE YEARS AS STATED AT THE 9th GLOBAL SEMINAR OF INNOVATION INNITIATIVES
Outcome of the recently held KenGen power on promoting innovative initiatives
KenGen the sole proprietor industry that provides electricity in Kenya has experienced a 2.6 Billion earnings from revenues collected in the past nine years. KenGen has been holding Global Innovation Seminars every year since 2012.The seminars aimed at promoting business growth in Kenya do attract both domestic and international stakeholders.
In the recently held seminar in Nairobi where the Chief Guest was the Energy Cabinet Secretary Mr. Charles Keter who was absent but acting on his behalf was Chief Administrative Secretary of Energy Mr. Zachary Ayieko . The CAS Mr. Ayieko encouraged the culture of innovative initiative seminars as it promotes the innovative ideas that are presented to the organization by the relevant stakeholders.
On the speech read by Mr.Ayieko on behalf of the C.S Energy he hankered the holding of the seminar as it shows the unity of the organization and its stakeholders but also promotes the inventive and innovative initiatives presented to them.
During the seminar the KenGen Managing Director and CEO Rebecca Miano had stated that the company had a saving of 1.3 Billion and also outlined the proposed solar generated power plant that is expected to generate 42MW power to their clients. She encouraged also Kenyans to adopt the use of the clean energy as it enhances the aim of environment conservation.
