The 407,000 doses arrived on Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Tuesday night,and was received by Dr.Patrick Amoth.

Kenya has received another batch of Astrazeneca vaccines from the United Kingdom.The consignment of 407,000 doses arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Tuesday night and was received by acting Director-General of Health,Dr Patrick Amoth.

Amoth said that the latest batch will boost the ongoing vaccination programme and thanked the U.K government,UNICEF and WHO for lending a helping hand in deploying the vaccines.

In total,817,000 doses of Astrazeneca has been received by the Ministry of Health,as a contribution from the British government to help Kenya fight Covid 19.Dr Amoth said that the country is expecting to receive 1.7 million doses of Moderna,393,000 doses of the Johnson&Johnson vaccine in the next few weeks and 1.8million doses of Pfizer vaccine by next month.
