The man who helps traders carry their luggage at Keumbu market had stolen three boxes but opted to try selling one box at Kisii Municipal Market before going back for the other two.

While making rounds, the Community policing team found the man and asked him what he was selling. The team also became alert since the man was acting suspiciously.

The traders at Kisii Municipal Market were angered by the actions of the man and wanted to burn him for stealing. The community policing team intervened and saved the man from the impending doom. He was forced to identify other two people who he had collaborated with in stealing from traders before. The other men were also found and taken to the community policing offices at Keumbu waiting to be taken by the police.

Traders at the markets have complained that many incidents like that have occurred recently and the suspects are usually the ones who help them carry their goods.
