MORE THAN 120,000 CONDOMS USED DURING THE WRC IN NAIVASHA
Thousands of Condoms were distributed by suppliers due to the high demand for the Commodity.
At least 120,000 condoms are said to be used during the world rally championship weekend in Naivasha. This is according to Kings condoms promotion CEO Stanley Ngara AKA King of condoms. Thousands of condoms were distributed to consumers by Kings condom promotion in association with NASCOP Kenya, KCP, Kenya Red Cross and LVCT.
Despite these, an acute shortage of condoms was reported, vendors decrying that the high demand for the commodity overweighed the supply, therefore requesting refill from the suppliers.
The much anticipated event experienced a large number of individuals’ troop towards Naivasha to witness the event which returns to Kenya after a 19 Years break and also engage in other “extracurricular activities”.
The hotel industry also recorded full bookings from the rally drivers, their crews and the viewers who had come to witness the legendary safari rally event. Tourists from within and without amounting to 8300 individuals were booked in the town hotels.
