The Kenyan Deputy President Mr. William Samoei Ruto said that he would have liked his daughter to be married by a Kenyan. He stated this during an interview with a local radio station. Dr. Ruto said that after her daughter June Ruto was married in a lavish ceremony in Karen Nairobi. The event was held for a wedding ceremony between his daughter Jane Ruto and the husband Dr. Alexander Ezenagu . The ceremony had the invited only where government dignitaries and leaders allied to the Dr. Ruto political camp attended i.e Mr. Kipchumba Murkomen.

“Ningefurahi sana kama msichana wangu angepata mkenya lakini ni mpango wa Mungu and uamuzi ni wake pia. Kulikuwa na wakati niliskia fununu kulikuwa na jamaa anaitwa Ochieng’, nilikuwa nimemwona lakini akapotea, sijui kuliendaje,” Ruto responded after a fan asked about how she felt marrying off his daughter to a Nigerian man.

Ruto added that he still wants to marry off his daughters to Kenyan men. “Bado niko na wasichana nataka akina Irungu na Ochieng’ wajiandae’,” Ruto said this after stating that he was reluctant to marry his daughter to the Nigers as he knows them to be stubborn. This came after one time an Igbo speaking Nigerian was deported by the Kenyan government and his name was Chinedu. He said that when he met Alex he told him about the event.
