PREDATORS MEET THE PREY: CAMEROON WALKS OVER ETHIOPIA WITH A 4-1 WIN IN AFCON 2021
Cameroon is a few steps from securing its place at the AFCON knockout stage after coming out victorious against Ethiopia with a 4-1 win. A game against Cape Verde on Monday will be a deciding game.
A game which started with Ethiopia being on top in the fourth minute after scoring the first goal of the game by Dawa Hotessa Dukele against Cameroon, had its high spirits shut down at the eighth minute when the host nation Cameroon's Karl Toko Ekambi scored the first goal for his team bringing the game to a draw.

Vincent Aboubakar and Karl Toko Ekambi were the stars of the game played on Thursday that made Cameroon surpass the pressure of being required to win in every game they play, being the host nation. Both stars scored twice each making the hosts, Cameroon a few steps from the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations with a walk over of 4-1 victory against Ethiopia in Group A on Thursday of AFCON 2021.

The home side, Cameroon have garnered six points from two matches they have played in AFCON 2021. They would have had their qualification for the knockout stages confirmed if Burkina Faso had failed to beat Cape Verde in Thursday's Group A game at the same venue, the Stade d'OlembÃ©. A game which ended with Burkina Faso taking a 1-0 win against Cape Verde.
Cameroon will play against the Cape Verde team in their last and deciding match on Monday and having played a superior game against Ethiopia that must have sounded a clear warning to their opponent and shown what their intentions will be at the AFCON Group A football match on Monday.
