ODM today has received a major boost as Kitutu Chache South member of parliament rejoins the party ahead of the 2022 general elections.

On Thursday 25th November Hon. Richard Onyonga who was the deputy leader for Ford Kenya party defected  from it to join the Orange Democratic Party led by Retired Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Onyonga who is the current MP for Kitutu Chache South was welcomed today into the party by ODM leader Raila Odinga alongside other honchos.

In his speech Onyonga declared that he is now a member of ODM party and would ask the  Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula to do the same.  He assured Raila Odinga that he will vote for him in the coming general elections as president in 2022. 
Further, Onyonga said that most kisii people are supporting the ODM party therefore he should not be worried because he has already gannered votes from kisii region. 
This comes as a major boost to ODM ahead of the 2022 general elections. Richard Onyonga received the party outfit that he will use to carry out his campaigns and party meetings.
