French born world cup winner and Manchester city's defender Benjamin Mendy was accused of rape and assault cases earlier this year. Mendy has been held behind bars where he still remains to this day upon being denied a bond. He will remain in custody awaiting his trial.

Manchester City's and France world cup winning superstar Benjamin Mendy Has been caught up in great controversy In the past few months. On October 2020 Benjamin Mendy was accused of commiting his first three rape crimes where he was arrested on November same year and later released.

On January of 2021 Mendy was arrested again for Sexual assault and had to explain himself to authorities several months later that is on July same year. Mendy was a free man but he was placed on parole that means he was to abide under  certain conditions. The Manchester city defender was not allowed to invite more than five people in his home if they were not family members or staff that worked there. Mendy didn't seem to care so much, on August of 2021 things took a quick turn after Mendy decided to throw a party at his home inviting around 20 people that was a clear violation of his parole. This is the time Mendy was accused of four rape cases one that involved an under age plus an assault that took place between October 2020 and August 2021. Mendy was later taken back to custody.

According to newspaper L'equipe, Mendy isn't placed alone in his cell and he his supposedly placed in a prison with class A and class B criminals. While in prison Mendy has been allowed to work, he has continued to recycle rubbish, putting together office furniture and even making bedding where he is paid £7 a week which is a contrast to his Manchester city salary.The French Born superstar is allowed visits however, he is not allowed more than three adults at the visiting hall. November 18th was a key date in this case because Mendy had pleaded for prosecutors to drop all charges against him but the court adjourned and will resume on December 22nd where the Manchester City defender will be arraigned in Crown Court in Chester for the trial. January 24th the Manchester city defender is set to appear on Trial Meanwhile before that, Benjamin Mendy still remains in Custody awaiting trial.
