JSS Teachers Demonstrate Outside the Offices of Kisii County Woman Rep

Junior secondary teachers demonstrated in Kisii town to push the government to address their concerns. During the demonstration, they went to the offices of the county woman representative, Hon. Dorris Aburi, to ask her to raise their issues in the national assembly.

The demonstrating teachers expressed that they are suffering under her watch. They said they have been protesting in the streets, but the woman representative has not taken any action and has not come to their aid.

The demonstrators emphasized their desire for their rights, mentioning that the court has ruled in their favor, which is why they are protesting in large numbers. They urged the government to listen to their grievances. They also noted that there is no learning taking place in Junior Secondary School classes due to the ongoing issues. The teachers called upon the woman representative to listen to their concerns and present them to the national assembly.

They confirmed that they have no plans to back down and will continue their protests until their issues are addressed.
