The community of Getare Kebirichi is in mourning following the tragic death of 26-year-old Erick Mose, who lost his life while trying to intervene in a violent altercation between two youths on the road.

On the day of the incident, Mose courageously stepped in to separate the fighters when one of them, identified as Omete, struck him on the head with a metal object, causing severe injuries. Despite efforts to save him, Mose succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at a local hospital. His untimely death has left his family devastated and has sparked a strong call for justice.

Mose's family and community members are demanding accountability, with many expressing outrage over the circumstances of his death.

The situation escalated when furious residents attempted to burn down the home of the suspect, Omete, whom they describe as a troubled individual with a notorious reputation.

Villagers have voiced concerns about his past behavior, claiming that he has previously threatened to harm others in the community.

As tensions rose, both the police and local chief intervened to restore order, urging the residents to remain calm during this tumultuous time.

Assistant Chief Tom Mogambi confirmed the incident and reassured the community that investigations are underway to bring justice for Mose and his grieving family.

Meanwhile, Omete is currently on the run, with reports indicating that he was last seen in Njoro, Nakuru. Authorities are actively searching for him as they gather evidence related to this tragic event.

As the community rallies together in search of justice, they hope that the legal system will hold responsible those who contribute to such acts of violence, ensuring that no more lives are lost in senseless disputes.

Erick Mose’s body is currently resting at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, where family members are mourning their loss.
