Wife stabs husband to death in alleged domestic violence incident in Nyamakoroto

A middle aged woman has stabbed her husband to death after a small domestic squabble in Nyamakoroto in Nyamira County.

Mr. Francis Otiso who is the father to two children met his death on Sunday after he allegedly responded to her wife’s quest in a manner that seemed unpleasant to her.

As said by the neighbors, the couple has been having protracted family issues but this time things escalated leading to the death of the head of the family.

“I heard some usual noises from the scene and I reached there and found the wife and asked her what has happened to Francis. She said that she and told his husband to go and check the cow and tie it using a rope but he responded in manner that seemed rude.” Said one of the eyewitnesses.  

The family is now appealing for help as Mr. Francis was the breadwinner to his son who is in form one and his daughter who is in junior secondary school.

He was also the one responsible in taking care of his father who is very sick in his sickbed.    

The clan elder Mr. Job Osinde added that his office has never received any case associated with the late.

Mr.Osinde also called for negotiations and patience in every marriage whenever a small issue arises and couple should learn to understand each other.

The body of the late is currently having a rest at Keroka mortuary
