A WONDER 16-YEAR OLD BOY TAKING CARE OF FOUR SIBLINGS PRECIOUSLY.
A 16-year old boy Jackson Mwangi has touched hearts of many by working at a quarry, to get money to cater for his siblings. He has a hope one day there will be sunshine in there home.

The 16-year old boy Jackson Mwangi has been parenting his four siblings for three years now since their parents abandoned them.
Mwangi, a class eight candidate at Muthigiriri Primary school in Kiharu, Muranga has been working in the quarry to cope for his younger brothers and sisters needs who look up to him.
The boy says that their mother who was violent and alcoholic left home one day to never return, forcing him to act a parenting role at such an age. He also added that even before she left, she used to go for days and come back empty handed and drunk. They would rely on well wishers for food.
However when Mwangi saw the struggle they were going through, he started looking for a gruntwork to get money for food. Although his mother does show up occassionally, sometimes they do not even get to see her.
One day, Mwangi approached their neighbour who offerered him a job at a quarry to make ballast. At the quarry he sometimes faces challenges, where some people collect ballast and pay him less money unlike when they buy from adults.
Mwangi has made a routine of going to the quarry in the evenings after school, and spends the weekend their with his siblings.
On a distinctive day, he wakes up to prepare breakfast for his siblings aged 14, 11, 7 and 5 years old before going to school. The headteacher allowed them to learn for free after learning their situation at home.
Another worry for Mwangi is about his and his siblings secondary education. He says that the situation at home does not daunt him from performing in class, he also encourages his siblings to work hard.
He pleaded for well wishers to build them a house for the one they are living is almost crumbling down. He also wishes for a sponsor to aid him of the next level education.
