By Mary Mutua
In Nyabisimba in West Mugirango, Sasini Company’s borehole construction and funding environment left many residents contentedly ascsending to a lovely event which showed the grand opening of a new borehole.
The following much needed water source will give hundreds of the families in that precinct and its surroundings relief from the side effects of drinking dirty water.
The event was well-attended by local leaders including the area MP Stephen Mogaka and the area MCA Julius Matwere, company leaders inclusive the Sasini and the residents. They covered the simple things that the particular water source is going to do for the villagers of Nyabisimba.
For several times, the village has struggled with the dearth of a water supply that could be trusted to bring water to many others. As a result, they had to walk long distances and drink water that had contaminants. This well will alter that, which will give a long term ecofriendly source of a clean water appropriate for a family's use at the heart of the community.
The Sasini Company staff participated in the event by telling revelers how they were committed to sponsoring the development of rural regions and improving the social welfare in the areas where they operated.
They said that they wished that the borehole provide water for household use, drinking and allow economical activities like a small-scale farming as well as entrepreneurship.
The event was further enriched as other cultural performances and the actual water collection were done and this was the point we had officially commissioned the new borehole. These community leaders profusely read out Sasini Industries laudable intervention and residents were called upon to take responsibility of the complex, accordingly liaise with the staff for efficient operations and fair allocation of water.
"This day have been our most awaited day which we have long hoped for. No more wasting time in looking for water. Children are now focused in their studies, while we can think about income generation activities. “Said Mary Ngumo, one of the residents.
