ODM camp is on fire ahead of Azimio presidential candidate visiting Gusii land. The outgoing governor James Ongw'ae is not on good terms with the ODM gubernatorial candidate Simba Arati. Earlier reports claimed that the rally to hunt votes by Raila Odinga was postponed due to Arati, Ogw'ae tassel, but the reports were later dismissed by the ODM party, saying they would proceed with the visit as planned.

There were also claims that there would be two parallel campaign teams due to the rift between Arati and Ongw'ae ahead of Odinga’s scheduled visit to Kisii.

It’s now a wait-and-see if Hon Raila Odinga will make the two shake hands even though they do not see each other face to face.

Ogw'ae has not supported Arati as his Successor and claimed he’s supporting someone else. He has held several meetings towards the Azimio presidential candidate’s visit to Kisii without Including Arati. Ongw'ae added that marketing Azimio presidential candidate as the preferred next president of Kenya started long ago.

On the other hand, Arati dismissed the claims that he had a similar but parallel campaign for Azimio. He has claimed that Ogw'ae’s era is almost over and should be preparing to pack his things in readiness to leave the office for the next candidate.
