AZZIAD BIOGRAPHY
Azziad Wafula Nasenya is a Kenyan actress, content creator social media personality and a media host. She is popularly known as Kenya’s TikTok Queen. Azziad was born on 16th June 2000 at Mumias Kenya. She grew up
in Kakamega county and Nairobi.
FAMILY
She is the first child in a family of four. Her father works and lives in Mumias while her mother lives and works in Germany. Her family moved from Mumias to Kakamega and later Nairobi.
PERSONAL LIFE
Azziad is not married, has no children but is in a relationship with a mistery boyfriend whose identity has not yet been disclosed.
EDUCATION
She studied at Central primary school, Mumias, Cathsam School, Nairobi located at umoja and eventually completed her primary education at Lugulu Girls boarding primary school, located at Webuye Kenya, where she studied from class 6 to the end of her primary education in class 8.
She wanted to join Buruburu Girls High School – Nairobi Kenya. But unfortunately her aunt preferred for her to study in the rural area. She went to St. Cecilia Misikhu Girls’High School Bungoma county. She completed her KCSE in November of 2017.
In May 2018, she joined the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication where she is pursuing a course in broadcast journalism.
CAREER
Her talent in acting was recognized from a young age of seven and she was an integral part of her drama theatre group. She started her career as a secondary school student whereby she entered the Kenya schools and colleges drama festival competition and reached the national level. She joined the popular Hearts of Art Theatre Group in Nairobi where she met her current manager Peter Kawa while performing for the group. She owns a YouTube channel and hosts the show “Shoe Game”. This platform opened a door in the acting industry and she has appeared in two films; Parenting and Selina. She had gone for auditions two weeks before she went viral. In June 2020 she debuted as Chichi in Selina on Maisha Magic East – Mnet and multi choice (she completed her role in January 2021).
She always had a dream to join the radio and be a radio host. On the 1st of June, 2021, she debuted her 1st radio job at Soundcity-Kenya where she is hosting the breakfast show, What’s Up 254 from 6-10 am from Monday to Saturday.
Alongside Mwaniki Mageria, she co-hosted Concert Nyumbani, a TV show celebrity covid-19 frontline soldiers i.e medical doctors, nurses etc.

FAME
Azziad joined TikTok in August of 2019 where she used to showcase her dancing skills, acting skills and lip-sync and later on her account got verified in February 2020. In April she did a challenge hit song titled ‘’Utawezana’’ by Femi One featuring Mejja by which she went viral.

Azziad was awarded the fastest growth in Kenya in late 2019 during the TikTok awards after she got over 70,000 in a period of two months.
She also won best actress award during a mini-festival at Kenya Institute in Mass Communication

i) Cyber bullying – After Azziad went viral on TikTok she began getting bullied on all social media platforms to the extent that her personal phone number leaked online and the results were numerous phone call WhatsApp messages and video calls from unknown people. She once thought of committing suicide due to all the hate she received. However, due to encouraging words she got from her close friends and management she persevered and developed a tough skin towards any hate.
ii) Brian Chira’s case with Azziad – Azziad sued TikTok content creator Brian Chira in July 2023 after he defamed her on his Live (15th July, 2023). Brian Chira was arrested by DCI officers and spent the night in police custody. They both appeared on Monday the 31st of July 2023 whereby he was released on cash bail of Ksh. 50,000 and was to have a rehearing on the 12th of September in the same year.
