Did you know that poetry can be a greater form of entertainment?
Well, most people tend to think that poetry is just boring and plain meaningless words . It is very untold that poetry plays a vital role in individuals who are bored , depressed or sometimes annoyed. Poetry can be very entertaining especially when taken with its simplicity and creativity. The rhyming words and the repeated words adds some flavor to them poems thus creating a pleasing image in the Minds of the listeners and the readers.

Different people have given different views on their understanding of a poem.
Some define poem as; a blind date of enchantment, a slip of thing that celebrates language and takes you on a short journey and touches your heart, something that turns your imagination and tickles your fun-bone somewhere along the way. To add more on this, I can conclude that poetry is a genre of literature that uses strong and accurate words that are well placed in order to make the reader or listener feel the covert emotions of the writer so as to give him or her the joyful shivers!
It is important to know that poems can make someone become more creative and show his or her prowess in playing around with words thus bringing about funness.
Some great writers or poets like' Okot P'Bitek who wrote songs of Lawino makes use of praise words in addressing ' ocol' who tends to celebrate Western culture and rejects African culture. This gives out the beauty of the poem even without much internalizing the intent of the poem. Maya Angelou too continue to add fragrance on poems by her famous poems' phenomenal woman ' which praises women on their both inner and outer beauty.
In conclusion, it is important to understand that poems inspire, poems entertain and poems too gives a glimpse of light to a dimming face!.
I prefer poems being my form of entertainment to others forms.
