KCPE RESULTS:OVER 9K CANDIDATES WHO MISSED THIS YEAR'S EXAM TO SIT SPECIAL TEST IN JANUARY,2024

Education CS Ezekiel Machogu has announced that all candidates who failed to sit for the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination will be subjected to a special test in January, 2024.

Machogu made the announcement on the morning of Thursday,November 23 when he presided over the release of the 2023 KCPE exam results.According to the CS,the indicative figure the ministry has at the moment for those who were not able to sit for their examinations is 9,354 candidates. The CS said that they have given them an opportunity to sit for a special examination in January 2024 so that they can also be able to join form one.

Being the last KCPE exam, no candidate will have the chance to repeat class 8 next year.Form one placement process is now yet to commence on Monday, November 27, with the exercise expected to be completed before christmas. The CS said all parents should take advantage of the Government's 100% transition to enrol their children in form one.

The ministry of Education will conduct a thorough mapping of any candidates who may have failed to sit for the examinations this year inorder to administer a special examination in January 2024 since this years KCPE marks the last of its kind of the curtains closed on the 8.4.4 curriculum after 38years.
