MACHAKOS KCSE CANDIDATE DROWNS DURING PHOTO SESSION MOMENTS AFTER FINISHING LAST PAPER

A candidate at St.Martin Wendano Secondary School in Matungulu,Machakos county drowned in a dam during a photo session with his friends.

The boy died on the afternoon of Friday,November 24,after he drowned in a dam close to the school after going on an expedition with his classmates.

While confirming the incident,Matuu Sub_location assistant chief Raphael Musyoki said that the student slipped and fell into the dam while taking pictures.

Well wishers led the exercise to look for the boy's body in the dam and rescue him but the attempt was abandoned at around 6:30 p.m due to darkness.The rescue mission is expected to resume today saturday,November 25.
