NYAMBARIA HIGH SCHOOL BIOGRAPHY
Nyambaria high school is a national secondary school located in Nyamira county, Kenya. It is a Seventh day – Adventist school that was established in 1966 as a small school with few dormitories, but has grown considerably. Currently Nyambaria school has a population of 2200 students. The school principal is Charles Onyari and Their school motto is: Education for Life.
Presently, the school has 21 classrooms, 3 laboratories, a computer lab, a capacity library, a wood workshop, 14 dormitories among others.
Among the school’ athletic facilities are football, handball, rugby and volleyball pitches, basketball and tennis courts. As it is recorded, the school has an active
record in co-curricular activities having reached the nationals levels in drama, rugby, music, science congress and indoor games. The students are also involved in contests, symposia, discussions and exclusions.
Since the inception of the school, it has been served by 7 principals.
All students take religion classes each year that they are enrolled. The classes involve biblical history and Christian denominational doctrines. This is also done in every stream before lessons begin which encourage student input. Weekly, the entire student body gathers together for an hour-long chapel service. Despite there are outside classrooms oriented programming that relies on student involvement.
Nyambaria Boys’ High School recorded an impressive result in the year 2021. It recorded a mean score of 9.3086 points which is a B (plain). Out of the 580 candidates who sat for the 2021 KCSE exams, a total of 573 candidates attained the direct entry university grade. In the year 2022, there were 488 registered candidates and all of them attained university direct entry with a mean grade of 10.8975.
