POLICE SEIZES 2,000 LITRES OF KANGARA AND 40 LITRES OF CHANG'AA IN KISII COUNTY

Police in Kisii Central Sub-County have intensified their campaign against the production and sale of illicit alcohol, following a successful raid in Kiogoro Location.

In a coordinated operation led by officers from Kiogoro Police Station, authorities targeted individuals involved in the illegal manufacture of Chang’aa in Riangombenene Village. 

The raid resulted in the recovery of 2,000 litres of Kangara and 40 litres of Chang'aa.

One female suspect was arrested and escorted to Kiogoro Police Station, where the confiscated items were secured as evidence. She will be processed and arraigned in court to face charges.

A report by the National Police Service says; "We reiterate our commitment to safeguarding communities from harmful substances and to dismantling the networks involved in the production of unlawful alcohol."

Similar operations are set to continue across the sub-county.
