ENGINEER BUILDS WORLD’S NARROWEST DRIVABLE CAR AT JUST 50.20CM WIDE
Italian engineer Andrea Marazzi has earned a Guinness World Records title for building the world’s narrowest drivable car, a modified Fiat Panda measuring just 50.20 centimetres wide.

Italian mechanic Andrea Marazzi has set a Guinness World Records title after building what has been confirmed as the world’s narrowest drivable car, measuring just 50.20 centimetres wide.
Marazzi transformed a 1993 Fiat Panda into the remarkably slim vehicle by removing a section from the middle of the original car before welding the remaining parts back together.
The unusual vehicle was also converted from petrol power to an electric system using a small motor sourced from a scooter.
Despite its tiny dimensions, the car is capable of steering, braking and moving both forwards and backwards. It has a reported top speed of approximately 15 kilometres per hour and can travel around 25 kilometres on a single charge.
The vehicle weighs about 264 kilograms, making it significantly smaller and lighter than conventional passenger cars.
However, the miniature car is not intended for normal road use and is not street-legal. Instead, Marazzi built it for demonstrations, festivals and his Guinness World Records attempt.
Guinness World Records confirmed Marazzi's achievement, recognising the vehicle as the world’s narrowest drivable car.
The achievement has attracted attention for its unusual engineering approach, demonstrating how a conventional car can be dramatically redesigned while retaining basic driving functions.
