Political commentator Omosh One Hour has given the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) a two-day ultimatum to publicly produce party leader Oburu Oginga, threatening protests if the former Bondo MP is not seen.
Omosh made the remarks in a video shared by Bunge la Mwananchi on October 6, 2026, amid growing speculation on social media about Oburu’s whereabouts and health.
He challenged ODM to present Oburu to the public within two days, saying failure to do so would prompt him and his supporters to take to the streets.
The remarks come after unverified claims circulated online suggesting that Oburu was seriously ill or had died.
However, Oburu’s secretariat has dismissed the reports, saying the ODM leader is alive, safe and in good spirits.
Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga has also said she visited Oburu and confirmed that he was well.
The controversy has nevertheless continued to generate public debate, with calls for clarity over the party leader’s whereabouts.
Oburu, the elder brother of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, took over the leadership of ODM following Raila’s death.
Omosh’s ultimatum remains his own public demand, and there has been no confirmation that ODM plans to organise protests or that any demonstrations will take place.
