MASON GREENWOOD REACHES AGREEMENT TO JOIN FENERBAHÇE AS CLUB FINALIZES TRANSFER WITH MARSEILLE

Marseille have accepted the Turkish club’s offer, and Greenwood has been authorized to undergo a medical examination and complete the remaining formalities of the transfer. The 24-year-old is expected to sign a contract with Fenerbahçe running until June 2030.
According to reports, the agreement includes a net annual salary of €10 million for Greenwood. Manchester United, the player’s former club, will receive a substantial payment through a sell-on clause.
Greenwood spent the 2025-26 season  as a permanent signing at Marseille, where he impressed  netting 37 goals and providing 13 assists in league play over two full seasons. 
The move represents one of the largest incoming transfers in Fenerbahçe’s history and a notable outgoing fee for the French club.
The transfer comes as Fenerbahçe, under new management, look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the upcoming Süper Lig season and European competitions. Greenwood reportedly turned down interest from other clubs, including sides in Saudi Arabia, to join the Istanbul-based club.Official announcement from Fenerbahçe is anticipated shortly following completion of the medical and contractual paperwork.
