HARAMBEE STARLETS ELIMINATED FROM WAFCON 2026 AFTER THREE STRAIGHT GROUP STAGE DEFEATS Rabat, Morocco

The result capped a disappointing campaign for the Starlets, who finished at the bottom of the group without a point after losing all three of their matches. 
Kenya began their tournament with a heavy 4-0 defeat to hosts Morocco on July 26 at the same venue before narrowly losing 1-0 to Senegal at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat on July 30. Needing a positive result against Algeria to end their campaign on a high, the Starlets were once again outclassed, falling 2-0 to bow out of the competition. 

The final Group A standings saw Morocco finish top with seven points, while Algeria secured second place with six points, sending both nations through to the quarter-finals. Senegal finished third with four points but also exited the tournament, while Kenya ended their campaign without a single point. 
The Starlets endured a difficult outing in Morocco, failing to score in any of their three matches while conceding seven goals. Their performances highlighted the gap between Kenya and the continent's leading women's football nations despite the team's qualification for the continental showpiece. 
Kenya's early exit marks the end of another challenging WAFCON campaign and is expected to prompt a review by the Football Kenya Federation as preparations begin for future international competitions. The focus will now shift to rebuilding the squad and addressing the shortcomings exposed during the tournament as the Starlets seek a stronger return on the continental stage
