Mikel Arteta has committed his future to Arsenal by signing a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2030.
The Spanish coach, who took charge of the Gunners in December 2019, has overseen Arsenal’s transformation into Premier League title contenders and guided the club to its first league title in 22 years during the 2025/26 season.
Arteta’s new deal provides continuity as Arsenal prepare to defend their Premier League crown and compete in the UEFA Champions League. The club has built a strong squad around players including captain Martin Ødegaard, Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and William Saliba.
The 2026/27 Premier League season marks Arteta’s seventh full campaign in charge. He is currently the longest-serving manager in the English top flight.
Under Arteta, Arsenal have developed into one of England’s leading sides, with the manager now tasked with maintaining the club’s progress and competing for more major honours.
The new agreement keeps Arteta at the Emirates Stadium through 2030, extending a managerial partnership that began when he succeeded Unai Emery in December 2019.
