Biovision Liaise with Kilimo Hai to teach Mesisita locals on using organic manure

BioVision Africa Association, in collaboration with Kilimo Hai, recently embarked on a mission to the village of Mesisita in Bonchari. This initiative aimed at educating local farmers on the benefits and techniques of using organic fertilizers, highlighting the importance of sustainable farming practices.

The farming experts from both organizations conducted an extensive workshop that gathered local farmers eager to improve their agricultural practices. The session was structured to cover both theoretical and practical aspects of organic farming. 

The experts began by explaining what organic fertilizers are.The benefits of the fertilizers which include, environmental sustainability, soil health, cost-effectiveness and crop quality. The experts provided tailored advice and solutions, encouraging the farmers to adopt these new practices. 

Farmers were shown how to prepare compost heaps, manage animal manure, and use crop residues effectively. The experts demonstrated the proper techniques for applying organic fertilizers to various crops, ensuring optimal growth and yield.

The initiative by BioVision Africa and Kilimo Hai is expected to have a long-term positive impact on the farming community in Mesisita. By adopting organic farming practices, farmers can achieve sustainable crop production, improve their livelihoods, and contribute to environmental conservation.
