RAILA'S DECLARATION TO RUN FOR THE AU COMMISSION

Azimio la umoja one Kenya coalition party leader Raila Odinga set to run for the Au commission seat next year February would keep him off politics likely to change his political landscape.

After a meeting with the former president of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo Raila Odinga stated that he is fully prepared to take up the challenge and be able to engage with other leaders to gain his candidacy.

Odinga had previously served the Au representative for infrastructure development in Africa from the year 2018 to February 2023.for him to earn that seat he requires the endorsement of the member states.

As per the African Union, the chair person the elected candidate assumes the role of chief executive, legal representative and accounting officer of the union.
