Arne Slot is The New Liverpool FC Head Coach.
Arne Slot, born on September 17, 1978, is a former Dutch football player and manager.
He managed the Eredivisie club Feyenoord. Slot played as a midfielder for FC Zwolle, NAC Breda, and Sparta Rotterdam, and ended his playing career back at PEC Zwolle, where he won the Eerste Divisie title in 2012.
He began his managerial career in the PEC Zwolle academy and served as an assistant at Cambuur before becoming co-head coach there. In 2017, he joined AZ as an assistant and was promoted to head coach in 2019. Slot became head coach of Feyenoord in 2021. In his first season, he led the team to the 2022 UEFA Europa Conference League final and later won the Eredivisie title in the 2022/23 season and the KNVB Cup in the 2023/24 season.
Arne Slot has now replaced Jurgen Klopp as the manager of Liverpool FC. Klopp had a successful nine-year tenure at Liverpool, winning major trophies including the UEFA Champions League in the 2018/19 season, the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in 2019, the Premier League in the 2019/20 season, the FA Cup and League Cup in the 2021/22 season, another League Cup in the 2023/24 season, and the Community Shield in 2022.
