Nyandiba Villagers delighted as MCA Officiates construction of bridge

Monyerero ward MCA Hon. Peter Otachi yesterday inspected the construction of a bridge in Nyandiba village which will facilitate easy movement in the area.

The villagers have been going through tough times while moving from one place to another in the area with the absence of the bridge.

The locals expressed with gratitude the incredible act of the area MCA teaming up with the county government to build the bridge as it will ease movement in the area and prevent them from being swept away by the ongoing heavy rains.

The MCA vowed to keep perfuming such amazing acts to ensure betterment of Nyandiba residents on the transport space. The project was started few days after users of the same bridge got injured after falling into the river.

“When I was aspiring to become your MCA, I promised you that I will construct this bridge. I pledged to build a box culvert and that is what is being constructed. As you can see the work is going on smoothly” said Hon. Otachi.

The area MCA also reminded the area residents about the previous regimes that saw the bridge in its bad state but never did anything.

“We’ve experienced previous regimes see this falling bridge but none of them bothered to chip in for the users. I thank God for beating the odds and with the efforts being deployed here, it will be completed soon.” added the MCA.

“The bridge has been a menace for the longest time now but I was able to talk with the county government through our governor who gave in to allocate enough funds for the implementation of the project” he also noted.

The locals appreciated the work done by the governor in liaison with the MCA.

“We thank you the governor and our able MCA who we gave you. On behalf of Hon. Otachi’s followers keep doing what you’ve started” said one of the residents.

“The users of this route have been getting it rough even when our bishop is supposed to lead a church mass in our place, movement has been giving him bumpy ride.” Added another local man.

The bridge which is situated along Itibonge-Mokonge road will serve the users in accessing Nyandiba Catholic Church, Nyandiba secondary school and even the hospital.
