Kiamokama Tea farmers vow to re-elect the current directors

In anticipation of the upcoming director of tea farmers election across various regions in Kenya, tea farmers in Kisii County have expressed their strong support for their current chairperson, Richard Obino Nyagwachi.

The endorsement came from numerous buying centers, as well as from farmers affiliated with the Rianyamwamu and Kiamokana factories in Nyaribari Chache and Nyaribari Masaba constituencies.

During a gathering held yesterday, tea farmers collectively voiced their desire for Nyagwachi to contest the election. Speaking to the GTN, the farmers praised Nyagwachi for his significant contributions and numerous developmental projects that have greatly benefited the tea farming community.

"Richard Obino Nyagwachi has been instrumental in bringing positive changes to our tea farming operations," stated one of the farmers. "His leadership has led to improved infrastructure, better market access, and increased profitability for our tea produce."

The farmers emphasized that Nyagwachi's experience and dedication make him the ideal candidate to lead them forward. They highlighted his ability to understand and address their challenges, as well as his commitment to ensuring fair representation and advocacy for their interests at higher levels.

Nyagwachi, who has been serving as the chairperson for several years, has gained a reputation for his hands-on approach and transparency in managing the affairs of the tea farmers. Under his leadership, there have been notable improvements in the efficiency of the buying centers and the overall quality of the tea produced.

"We believe that with Nyagwachi at the helm as the director, we will continue to see advancements in our industry. His track record speaks for itself, and we are confident that he will bring even more progress and innovation to our sector," added another farmer.

As the election date approaches, the farmers remain hopeful that their endorsement will translate into a victory for Nyagwachi, ensuring sustained growth and development for the tea farming community in the region.
