Hon. Donya Toto, Hon. Japheth Nyakundi and other leaders launch Sombogo borehole.

Kisii County Woman Representative, Hon. Donya Toto, has today launched an initiative to build a borehole in Sombogo, Sensi Ward, Kitutu Chache North, to address the area's water shortage problem.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Toto promised to collaborate with various leaders to ensure residents receive development benefits. Among the leaders present were Hon. Japheth Nyakundi and the Member of the County Assembly (MCA) of Sensi Ward, Hon. Nyagaka Onchong'a.

Hon. Nyakundi expressed his satisfaction with the initiative by Hon. Toto, affectionately referred to as "Mama County." He stated, "Let me say thank you very much, Mama County. Let me assure you that these people of Sombogo, as you have provided them with a borehole and are going to install a water tank, will support you forever."

Hon. Nyakundi also criticized the Kisii County Government for their recent suspension of some county workers, arguing that the action undermines the various values of the courses and careers in the county.

He urged the county government not to damage the careers of Kisii residents, questioning the decision and suggesting it indicates a dislike for competent individuals.

He noted that suspending or dismissing workers can make it very difficult for them to secure another job without a letter from the court.

Hon. Donya stated that she is in agreement with the MCAs in Kisii County and is committed to reaching out to residents in their localities to work with them directly. She also offered wheelchairs to the disabled at that iniative.
