In a recent address, Simon Osumba, the Assistant County Commissioner of Nyamira North Subcounty, emphasized the significance of security improvements within the region. This announcement coincided with a noteworthy commitment from MP Joash Nyamoko, who took an oath to establish Nyamira University within the constituency, with operations set to commence later this year.

Simon Osumba underscored the county's proactive steps towards enhancing security. "The safety of our residents and the protection of our properties are paramount," Osumba declared. The measures being put in place include increased police patrols, community policing initiatives, and the installation of surveillance systems in key areas.

Osumba also highlighted the importance of regulating local businesses, particularly those dealing with alcoholic beverages. He pointed out that the enforcement of laws regarding the sale and consumption of alcohol is crucial in maintaining order and reducing crime rates linked to substance abuse.

MP Joash Nyamoko made a significant pledge regarding education in the region. In a public ceremony, Nyamoko vowed that Nyamira University would be established within the constituency.

"We are committed to providing our youth with accessible and high-quality higher education," Nyamoko stated. He affirmed that the university would start operations this year, marking a monumental step in boosting educational opportunities and fostering local talent.

The establishment of Nyamira University is expected to bring multiple benefits to the community. It will not only provide advanced educational facilities but also create job opportunities and stimulate the local economy.

The commitments made by Simon Osumba and Joash Nyamoko reflect a comprehensive approach to regional development. As security measures take effect and the groundwork for Nyamira University is laid, the residents of Nyamira North can look forward to a brighter, safer, and more educated future.
