Gesima: Residents Decry Poor State Of Roads, Call For Action

Residents of Kebuko village, located in Gesima ward within Bogetutu Masaba in Nyamira County, are raising concerns about the deplorable state of their local roads. The community members are appealing to their area Member of County Assembly (MCA), Kenneth Atuti Nyameino, to prioritize road repairs to improve accessibility and safety.

The roads in Kebuko village have significantly deteriorated, making them nearly impassable, especially during the rainy season. Deep potholes, eroded surfaces, and muddy sections have become common, hindering transportation and affecting the daily lives of the villagers.

The poor road conditions have had a profound impact on the residents of Kebuko village. Farmers face challenges transporting their produce to markets, leading to economic losses and reduced income.

School children struggle to reach their schools, and emergency services, including medical aid, are often delayed due to the impassable roads. The community fears that without prompt action, these issues will continue to escalate, further straining their livelihoods and overall well-being.

In light of these pressing concerns, the residents are urging MCA Kenneth Atuti Nyameino to address the road infrastructure issues as a matter of urgency. They believe that repairing and upgrading the roads will not only enhance transportation but also stimulate economic growth and improve the quality of life for the entire community.

The villagers of Kebuko are calling on local government authorities and relevant stakeholders to allocate resources and initiate immediate road repair projects. They emphasize that improved road conditions will facilitate better access to essential services, boost local trade, and promote overall development in the area.

As the community awaits a positive response from their MCA, they remain hopeful that their appeals will be heard and acted upon promptly, ensuring safer and more reliable roads for Kebuko village.
