He emphasized that damaging these improvements only leads to greater suffering and hinders future progress.

Speaking at the event, Motume expressed that every development in the area is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the community and its leaders. Destroying these developments not only wastes resources but also delays essential services and improvements that residents depend on. "When we destroy what has been built, we only make ourselves suffer. We need to take ownership and ensure these developments are preserved for our own benefit," he stated.

Motume also took the opportunity to call on local leaders to respect the electorate and maintain an open line of communication with the people they serve. He highlighted that leadership should be about serving the community and listening to their needs rather than imposing decisions from the top down. "Leaders must remember that they are in their positions because of the people. We must listen to the voices of those who voted for us and prioritize their concerns," he added.
