Three suspects arrested with 298 pellets of cocaine hidden in teddy bears

Three suspects, Sharon Debra Achieng’ 25, Leon Ochieng’ 28 and Ronald Onyango 25 were arrested yesterday in their house in Donholm area Nairobi.by crime busters, ANU and OSU.
The three had a suitcase packed with toiletries, some clothes and three teddy bears.

Inside the teddy bears were 298 pellets of cocaine weighing about 6.8kg.The street value of the nose candy is estimated to be Ksh27.5M.

Other items discovered were several air tickets meant for different destinations in the name of the female suspect. The officers also seized Ksh37, 000 believed to be proceeds of the illegal trade.

"The DCI thanks the members of the public who continue to Fichua kwa DCI by sharing actionable information, and warns traffickers that their misplaced efforts will only earn them tickets to courtrooms and correctional facilities, “the detectives said.

"On ripping the teddy bears open 298 pellets of the nose candy weighing about 6.8kg estimated at Sh27.5 million in street value were discovered," detectives said.
