Nyanchwa SDA, Chair love NGO issue wheelchairs to people living with disabilities

Yesterday, the Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) and Nyanchwa hospital led a significant initiative to provide wheelchairs to individuals with disabilities who are unable to sustain themselves in Kisii.

The plan also received support from Chair Love, a non-governmental organization based in the United States. Chair Love not only provided the wheelchairs but also offered training to help people with disabilities accept themselves and encouraged neighbors to love and embrace them.

Chair Love assisted 805 individuals with disabilities and expressed their aim to help more people across the country.

"We are a United States-based non-profit organization, and we provide the gift of mobility to people around the world who need a wheelchair but lack the means or access to one. We are here in Kenya delivering two shipments of over 500 wheelchairs to people in and out of Kenya," stated a member of Chair Love.

The organization also mentioned their collaboration with Western Union and emphasized that their mission is driven by a calling from God to love and support one another.

Those who received support from this initiative were visibly overjoyed and requested that Chair Love continue their efforts to assist people with disabilities in other parts of the world. "I have been suffering for a long time because I move by crawling. Let them continue to help others," said one beneficiary.

Many beneficiaries shared their struggles, with some mentioning that they had to hire wheelchairs, which was a significant challenge for them. Along with the wheelchairs, recipients also received training from Chair Love to help them accept their conditions and pursue personal development.
