Kepha Mrefu defends Simba Arati's visit to statehouse saying he didn't go there to apologize.

Keffah Mrefu, a former member of the County Assembly of Kisii Central, has defended Kisii Governor Hon. Simba Arati's recent visit to State House on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters in Kisii County, Mrefu urged those spreading lies and propaganda about the visit to give the governor an easy time to work in favor of Kisii County residents.

Mrefu expressed opposition to the "one man, one vote, one shilling" initiative, arguing that it aims to favor certain parts of the country rather than Kenya as a whole.

"There is something that I have not liked this morning as a Kisii and as a member of the Abagusii community in general. Our governor, Simba Arati, went to speak with the president, and many people don't know what they discussed at State House.

They talked about development issues, such as building roads in Kisii," Mrefu stated.

Mrefu also mentioned that many leaders have visited the president at State House, citing Nyamira County Governor Amos Nyaribo as an example. He questioned why people he referred to as "abaisia" are going online to criticize the governor's visit to State House.
