The family of the late well-known radio fan Joshua Mayaka, also known as Richoni Mayaka, who passed away after a long illness, has appealed for peace and order as burial preparations continue. They have urged mourners, leaders, and radio fans to maintain dignity and unity during the send-off.

The family described the period as very sensitive and called for cooperation from all attendees to ensure a smooth and respectful ceremony that honours the life of the deceased.

Speaking from Nyakeore in Bonyamatuta Ward, West Mugirango Constituency, the bereaved family also confirmed receiving food support from Nyamira County senatorial aspirant Jeremiah Migosi, noting that the assistance has brought comfort during this difficult time.

Relatives and residents remembered Richoni Mayaka as a respected community figure known for his good character, strong social ties, and active involvement in community and church activities. His wife, Sabina Nyanchama Mayaka, described him as a pillar whose absence has left a deep void within the family and society.

He was actively involved in church work, serving as a coordinator and mobilizer in church contributions and development projects, where he played a key role in supporting church growth and construction initiatives.
