MOTHER’S DAY TURNS POLITICAL AS KEMONI BLASTS COUNTY LEADERSHIP IN KEGOGI CHURCH VISIT

Eng. James Kemoni, the aspiring Governor of Nyamira County and former Bogichora Ward MCA Beauttah Omanga, joined believers at PEFA Bomorito

Community Church in Kegogi during World Mother’s Day celebrations.

While addressing the congregation, Kemoni took time to appreciate mothers for their hard work and sacrifices in raising children, noting that their dedication has played a key role in shaping many responsible and prominent leaders in society. He encouraged mothers to continue being pillars of strength in their families and communities.

He also took a swipe at the politics of Nyamira County, calling out the county government for neglecting its duties and instead remaining in offices without addressing residents’ needs. He urged leaders to step out and address challenges such as poor roads and infrastructure on the ground, noting that tractors were procured to improve road conditions but have not been effectively utilized.

He emphasized that he is ready to lead as governor, not as a deputy, stating that he understands the needs of the people and will address them once elected.

Former Bogichora Ward MCA Beauttah Omanga, who is also aspiring to reclaim his MCA seat, urged Gusii leaders to remain united.

The leaders also referenced a recent condolence visit to Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka following the passing of his mother, Mama Teresa Omoke, appreciating the unity shown by Gusii leaders, including Governor Arati and MP Osoro, despite their political differences.

They further encouraged residents to register as voters and obtain voting cards from Huduma Centres to help elect capable leaders.
