DCI Celebrates Its Queens' A1 Silver Finish at KVF Finals
The DCI left the stage heads -high having secured their first ever podium finish as the curtains came down in the finals of the Kasarani indoor Arena.

2024/2025 marks the first time for the DCI Volleyball team to win the second spot in Kenya Volleyball Federation National League since their establishment in 2018.
Named Oilers, the team used their resilience to hold off a late surge by the detectives in the last decider to reclaim KVF championship during the appearance of the finals when the detectives came out guns blazing, pushing the former champions, Kenya pipeline to the brink of a five-set thriller in the second game of "best of three"final series.

As a result of their showdown, Sarah Nahamis and Sharon Jeruto were crowned the best outside Hitter awards respectively.
Mercy Iminza, Vivian Vukitsa, Sarah Nahamis and Peninah Barasa secured a spot in the provisional squad of the national team, Malkia Strikers.
Coach Patrick Sang said this was just the beginning.
Sang believes the team has come of age and deserves a chair at the table.
"Having tested the podium, a second position is just but a stepping stone to being crowned champions." Team Manager Neddy kilimo reaffirmed."
DCI queens won the hearts of many although they lost on the court.
The detectives have shifted focus to the playoffs of the upcoming Kenya Cup Volleyball Tournament.
Having qualified for the first time, the detectives will be seeking to announce their arrival in equal fashion at the African Volleyball Club Championship.
