A NYAMIRA FAMILY IS APPEALING FOR SUPPORT TO RAISE KSH171,000 FOR LYDIA KWAMBOKA MAKORI, A FINAL-YEAR NURSING STUDENT AT FAFA MEDICAL TRAINING COLLEGE.

A humble family from Kenyomisia Village, Mawawa Ward, North Mugirango Constituency, Bonyingwe 1 Sub-location in Nyamira County is crying out for help to save the dream of their daughter, Lydia Kwamboka Makori.

Lydia, daughter of Joseph Makori and Stella Moraa, is in her final year pursuing a nursing course at Fafa Medical Training College. She has always dreamed of becoming a nurse to serve humanity and uplift her struggling family. Despite her humble background, she worked hard in school and scored a C+ with 53 points in her KCSE exams.

Her parents have sacrificed everything for her education, even selling a piece of land to support her studies from first year to now. Her mother sells vegetables daily while her father does casual “mjengo” jobs. Life has become very difficult, with some days lacking even basic needs, and sometimes only salt available at home.

Lydia now has a KSh171,000 fee balance and risks missing her final examinations if it is not cleared. She was also expected to report for attachment at Psychiatry Kisumu, but the financial burden has become overwhelming.

The family is appealing to well-wishers, leaders, and kind-hearted individuals to come to their aid. They are specifically appealing to Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo, Women Rep Jerusha Momanyi, Senator Okong’o Omogeni, Abel Osoro, area MCA, and all other leaders, friends, and supporters to assist Lydia complete her studies.

Education remains their only hope. They are asking for support to help Lydia Kwamboka Makori achieve her dream of becoming a nurse.
