A New Dawn For The SDA Church-South Kenya Conference- Nyanchwa

Pastor Stephen Ongige is the new SDA Church's South Kenya Confrence President elected through today's elections held at Nyanchwa Headquarters.

Ongige replaces Dr Paul Kiage and will serve for a period of five years. Pastor Ongige has been serving as the Head of StewardShip Department.

Pastor Job Obara takes over as a Executive Secretary after serving as a Head of the Youth Ministry.

Pastor Elijah Onyancha will serve as the Treasurer while Pastor Willice Oruta will continue to serve as the Head of Education Ministry.

Other departmental Heads elected include;
1. Evangelism- Pastor Eddy Orina
2. Youth Ministry- Pastor Eliakim Maeta
3. Ministerial- Christopher Nyaribo
4. StewardShip- Gilbert Machuka
5. Women and Children- Jane Mwebi

A 33 member Nomination Committee is tasked with the selection or election Church/Conference officials.

The 33 members are picked from a group of 600 delegates who are representatives oft he entire Church Constituency. 

South Nyanza Conference popularly known as SKC has a constituent membership of 114,000 congregants.
