President Willaim Ruto has warned of dire consequences to individulas planning to create anarchy in the Country through street protests.
The President says, the challenges Kenyans area facing are as a result of many years of poor planning.
Speaking in Nairobi Wednesday during the inspection of police housing at Kilimani, Ruto says he has tolorated some fot he leaders fasr too way.
He says the Country has had unprecendented chaos in the past few months which he alleges has been sponsored by a few grredy leaders.
"We must end the idea of political entitlement. There are those who think they have monopoly over chaos. All those found looting and destroying business will have to face prosecution. They must be ready for jail terms."
In a scathing attack against a section of the Country's leadership, Ruto says he has had it enough. "Enough is enough, I have run out of patience, those who atatck our police, security installation and loot property, be warned that is a war against the government. It will not happen under my watch. That is terrorism. Enough is enough."
The President says their are those inciting the youth to burn private and government property.Β
"There are those who think the issue of unemployement just came up the other day. We must stop lying to our people. I have contributed greatly to creating more than 500,000 employement oppurtunities for the youth. I have told you what I have done, let them tell us what they ahe done."
According to Ruto, the problem of unemployement has been experienced in the Country because there was no comprehensive plan there before. Let us not incite the youth on unemployemet, it can't be sorted in a single day. I have a plan on how to move forward, for the first time we have a plan on how to sort unemployemnet. We must tell our people the truth."
The Head of State says; "We have had past Presidents serving this Country, why is that it is only me that some people are planning to overthrow? We must end the tribal politics we have in this country, no Kenyan is better than the other."
Ruto vows to protect the lives, business and property of all Kenyans saying the war to destroy property must stop and vows to use every means available to protect that which ahs been built in the Nation.
"We must build the Contry and not destroy it. Call me any name you want but we must have a peaceful country. People have struggled for years to put up their livehods then some politicans want to plan chaos and destroy that which we have developed."
Ruto warns his critics saying; "Let them listen to me, they will not overthow this govenment, they cannot change the leadership through uncounstitutional means. Kenya is a democratic Country."
