RELIEF IN KISII: POLITICIAN OKENG’O NYAMBANE CLEARS HOSPITAL BILL, FREES STRANDED NEW MUM FROM KTRH

The family of David Nyagoche from Kiogoro Ward, Nyaribari Chache, Kisii County, is celebrating after their daughter, who had been stranded at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital over unpaid hospital bills following childbirth, was finally discharged after Okeng’o Nyambane chipped in and cleared the bill.

This brought great relief to the family, who said they were unable to raise the money due to financial hardships. The family thanked Nyaribari Chache politician Okeng’o Nyambane for his generosity and support during their difficult moment.

According to the patient’s mother-in-law, Emily Moraa, they initially sought treatment at Kiogoro Dispensary before being referred to KTRH, where the woman successfully gave birth. However, they could not afford the hospital charges and remained stranded at the facility.

A relative also explained that they were stranded in the hospital and had tried to reach out to other relatives for help, but they were unreachable. This forced them to seek help from Okeng’o Nyambane, whom they contacted about their situation, and fortunately, he responded.

“Okeng’o sent one of his staff members to the hospital and helped us clear the bill. Thank you, Mheshimiwa,” she said, while praising his continued support for vulnerable families in the community.

The family and residents expressed gratitude and described the gesture as a sign of compassion and leadership.
