Small scale traders join hands, come together to improve their lives financially

A group of determined entrepreneurs known as the Kisii Market Achievers has come together with a shared goal; to improve their lives financially and support each other during challenging times.

The group, which began with just 50 members, has seen remarkable growth and now stands at 160 members.

Their official launch is marked by a sense of unity and purpose, as they sought support from well-wishers to kick-start their ambitious initiatives.

With a clear aim of supporting members who are struggling in their businesses, the group has implemented various financial programs, including a merry-go-round savings scheme. 

Under this program, members contribute money weekly, and the collected amount is given to 10 different members each week.

In addition to the merry-go-round initiative, the group practices table banking. Members contribute funds during meetings, which are later sent to the bank.

These funds are then available for use in addressing both individual and group financial needs.

Operating under the inspiring motto “Pamoja Tuinuane” Swahili for “Together We Uplift Each Other” the Kisii Market Achievers distinguish themselves from other groups in the market place. 

They pride themselves as being unique, focused, and determined, with a strong belief in mutual support and collective growth.

“Our main aim is to help each other grow during tough times,” said one member, echoing the sentiment shared by the entire group.

As they continue to thrive, the Kisii Market Achievers are proving that with unity, determination, and a shared vision, economic empowerment is not just possible it is inevitable.
