The institution has invited interested members of the public to view the items starting today until Monday, June 23, ahead of the main auction day.
The public auction is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.
According to a notice issued by Moi University Vice Chancellor Prof. Kiplagat Kotut, the auction will be held at the farmyard within the main campus in Kesses, Uasin Gishu County.
Among the animals on offer are bulls and bull calves, with prices ranging from Sh 50,000 to Sh 70,000 each. For dog enthusiasts, German Shepherd breeds will be available, each valued at Sh. 40,000.
Donkeys are expected to be between Sh 9,000 and Sh 15,000 apiece, while pigs will be sold for Sh 3,500 to Sh 7,000 each.
In addition to the animals, the university is also disposing of a Toyota Hilux vehicle, which will be auctioned at a starting price of Sh 350,000.
