Businesswoman found dead and naked in a river

A family in Kisii County is in mourning following the mysterious death of a businesswoman whose naked body was discovered in a river in Mbanda, Marani. 

The woman left her home at around 6pm accompanied by her two friends and after which she never returned.

According to family members, they received a distress call informing them that a woman's body had been found in the river. 

Upon arriving at the scene, they identified her as their relative.

The body is reported to have had multiple head injuries. 

Authorities are yet to determine the exact cause of death, but initial findings suggest the possibility of a violent attack.

According to one of the family members they found the body of their loved one in a very bad state.

"We arrived and found her body in the mortuary, she had no clothes on , her eyes were stabbed and her mouth seemed like it had been chopped of."

“She was a hardworking woman who sacrificed everything for her children. This is a heartbreaking loss,” said a grieving family member.

The family is now calling on the government and relevant investigative agencies to step in and uncover the truth behind the tragic incident. 

As the community reels from the shock, police have launched a probe into the matter.
